Get Paid To Help The Grid

To reduce strain on the electrical grid, utilities are offering low cost tariffs as a way to incentivise customers to shift their electrical usage to off peak times. To help customers take advantage of these tariffs, manufacturers of electrical appliances such as dishwashers, and now fridges and freezers, have begun to create solutions to allow customers to switch electrical loads to off peak times to reduce their running costs. Given that the largest electrical load in a house is often the immersion, we have created a retrofit system that that allows users to effortlessly take advantage of these tariffs to heat water.

Hot Tank As A Battery

An insulated hot water cylinder is perfect for taking advantage of off-peak tariffs, due to the fact that it is essentially a giant battery that can store power in the form of hot water for use when needed. In addition, there are CO2 savings to be made. Diverting excess energy to a hot water cylinder, which may ordinarily be fueled by a gas or oil boiler, will reduce fossil fuel consumption, therefore reducing emissions including carbon.

This is why we have developed and patented what we feel is the most intuitive scheduler on the market… Using our app, setting a schedule takes just a matter of seconds. Where the scheduler really comes into its own if with Flexi tariff where adjusting schedules can be a lot more frequent.
